The Hauraki Plains Co‑Operating Parish Hall is the perfect venue for your next gathering, meeting, or celebration. Whether you’re hosting a community group, workshop, or private event, the hall offers spacious, flexible facilities to suit a wide range of needs.


Spacious & Comfortable

Our hall provides a large, open area that can easily accommodate tables, chairs, and activities of all kinds. With plenty of natural light and space to move, your guests will feel comfortable whether it’s a casual meeting or a lively celebration.


Fully Equipped Kitchen

For events that include catering or food preparation, the hall includes a commercial-grade kitchen, making it easy to serve meals, host cooking workshops, or provide refreshments for your guests.


Convenient Facilities

Community Groups Using the Hall

Our hall is home to several regular community groups, supporting social connection, learning, and fun:

1️⃣ Music and Movement

  • When: Mondays at 10am (excluding school holidays)
  • Cost: Gold coin donation
  • Who: Preschoolers and their parents
  • A lively, interactive session where little ones can move, dance, and learn, while parents enjoy connecting with others.

2️⃣ Chinwag Café

  • When: Tuesdays, 10am–12pm
  • Cost: Gold coin donation
  • An Age Concern initiative that brings adults together for a friendly cuppa and conversation. Chinwag Cafés help reduce feelings of loneliness or social isolation, boost wellbeing, and encourage community connection. And of course, there’s always cake!

3️⃣ Care and Friendship

  • When: Every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month
  • Cost: $10 (morning tea, lunch, and raffle included)
  • A welcoming space for companionship, knitting, cards, and board games. Share time with friends old and new, enjoy a meal, and take part in our friendly raffle.

These groups highlight how the hall supports the social, recreational, and wellbeing needs of our community.


Affordable Rates (GST Exclusive)

We aim to make the hall accessible for both local groups and private events:

  • Local community groups: $20 per hour
  • Private events:
    • Hall only: $35 per hour
    • Hall + kitchen: $50 for the first hour, $30 for each additional hour
